Section 9 · Time, Motion & Interaction
Prototype Connections and Triggers
- Definition
Links between frames defining navigation, activated by a trigger — a tap, hover, drag, key press, or timed delay.
- Why it matters
The trigger is the user’s half of the interaction. Choosing the wrong one makes an interface feel arbitrary even when the visuals are resolved.
- Example
A tap navigating to the next frame, versus a delay advancing automatically after two seconds.
