Definition

Applying deliberate, consistent color treatment across an entire image to unify it and establish mood.

Why it matters

A grade applied globally is what turns assembled parts into one photograph. It’s also a strong expressive lever in its own right.

Pushing shadows cool and highlights warm across a full composite so every source shares one color world.
